Love 'n' Rock-it!

The Punk Rock Kitchen was knee-deep in cookie dough 'n' pink buttercream this week, in preparation for Valentine's Day - just two week's away, slackers! Hey, don't get me wrong, I've always thought Valentine's Day was a bullshit excuse to sell cards and crappy chocolate, but since I've joined the ranks of the hucksters, I figure I'd better capitalize on cupid, too.

Not only am I sellin' Cookie Chaos! (which makes for a kick-ass VD gift, by the way), I've been runnin' a little cookie biz on the side. So, I've come up with some exclusive Punk Rock Kitchen cookie designs especially for everybody's favorite day of enforced romance. Pictured below are Love 'n' Rock-its (VD version of Rock-Out Cut-Outs), Yer Cheatin' Hearts, Strawberry Sweethearts and Choco Nibblers. I'm also sellin' smooch-shaped Loft Party Make-outs, the jam-filled treats featured in Cookie Chaos!

This is The Kids DVD!

Just a quick heads-up, folks: The Kids just put out a DVD of the kick ass show they played at Dot Dash at Southpaw in NYC in July. You can buy it on their site. If yer a punk rock fan, or a rock 'n' roller, you've GOT to hear these guys. I think the only original member still with this outfit from Belgium is Ludo Mariman, the lead vocalist, but they still rule. The Kids' tune, This is Rock n Roll is featured as suggested listening in Cookie Chaos! You can download the tune, which complements the Punk Rock Kitchen classic, Rock-Out Cut-Outs recipe here. But beware: it's addictive!

Cookie Chaos! Gets Busted

Aw yeah. Cookie Chaos! has officially achieved cool chick cred! That's right folks. Cookie Chaos! is featured in the Feb/March issue of Bust Magazine (you know, the zine-turned-mag for the hip, urban chick set). Plus, it'll soon be available for sale on the Bust site in the Boobtique! Unfortunately, Bjork's on the cover of this issue. But, hey, press whores can't be choosers!

Back in the Prattle Again

Whatever you do, I urge you to willfully avoid leaving the 90-something degree Northern Pacific coastline of Costa Rica for a frigid, snowy boot-in-the-face from Jersey. Well, at least I get to see The Punk Rock Kitchen's resident feline, Tura, again. Other than that, bein' back here in the sunless cold blows!

Costa Rica was truly incredible, though. We're talkin' horseback riding on the beach, a fiesta with old school rodeo bull riding and monkeys galore! I'll get some pics up soon....

I Hate People...They Hate Me!

Just thought I'd fill everybody in on my personal mantra.

Anyway, this week I'm getting my shit together for the big Costa Rica escapade, which will consist mainly of hanging on the beach, drinking, seeking out howler monkeys, drinking, and more of the same.

Not much to tell. My days have been pretty booooring lately, the highlight being my time spent engrossed in Tom Wolfe's latest, I Am Charlotte Simmons. I'm diggin' it quite a bit, and find myself relating to the gradual destruction of Charlotte's wall of naïveté. And fuck all those assholes who think they're above reading Tom Wolfe. I love him, cheesy white suit 'n' all.
